Get the Look: Met Gala Celebrity Beauty Secrets

Chrissy Teigen stunned on the red carpet at the Met Gala last night donning a jet black gown and Chinese-inspired earrings to stick with the Gala’s theme. What really made Teigen the bell of the ball, however, was her flawless beauty look, from her waved hair to her perfectly manicured nails, which were done by manicurist Chi under the direction of celebrity manicurist and Dermelect Color Curator, Elle, using top nail brand Dermelect Cosmeceuticals.

Elle finished Teigen’s nail look with Dermelect’s Revital-Oil, a part essential oil and part Keratin solution nail treatment that is specifically formulated to support natural nail growth as it perfects the cuticle. “I never leave the house without my Dermelect Revital-Oil cuticle oil and same goes for my clients” says Elle.

Elle’s team also worked on A-list celebs including Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes and Georgina and Karen of Marchesa. As Jennifer was leaving, she asked Elle for some oil as a finishing touch. Luckily Elle doesn’t leave home without Dermelect!

Get all the details for Kerri Russell’s hair look for the Met Ball, below, using Brazilian Blowout styling products.

Stylist: Brian Magallones (celebrity clients include: Elisabeth Moss, Tessa Thompson, Maria Bello)

Brian said: “The inspiration for Keri’s hair was Wong Kar-Wai’s film ‘In The Mood For Love’ – sleek and chic, yet soft and romantic.” Brian used Brazilian Blowout styling products to tame Keri’s naturally curly hair, allowing him to keep the hair sleek, shiny, and frizz free.

Get The Look, Step-By-Step:

Used a small amount of Brazilian Blowout Acai Daily Smoothing Serum
Dried hair in 2 inch sections and set in Velcro rollers.
Removed the rollers, and used a 1.75 inch barrel curling iron to add a bit more curl. “Even the sleekest need to be curled first for a more “finished” look.”
Next, brushed through hair to relax the curl
Used Brazilian Blowout Acai Restorative Sculpt & Define Polish to slick hair back into an imperfect bun, maintaing a modern and youthful look. Left some pieces out in the front to create a long, sexy, swooping bang that can be left out or tucked behind her ear
Finished her look with a spritz of Brazilian Blowout Acai Shine & Shield Shine Spray, and she was off to the red carpet!

The stars shone last night at fashion’s biggest annual event, The Met Ball, where Olivia Munn walked the red carpet with one-of-a-kind nails by celebrity manicure artist and Sally Hansen Nail Ambassador, Tracylee. This year’s Chinese-themed Met Gala honored China’s heritage and its present culture on the red carpet, so attendees like Olivia, showed off chic interpretations of the theme down to their fingertips.

Industry leader and Sally Hansen Ambassador Tracylee created a custom look to complement the fashion insider’s high glamour ensemble. “I love the element of theatricality the Gala calls for,” explains Tracylee. “It gives me an opportunity to create statement nails that bring Chinese aesthetics to the next level.”

To create the look seen at the Met Ball, Tracylee used Sally Hansen’s award winning Complete Salon Manicure in Red My Lips with a fade to black using Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Black Out. She completed the look with Big Matte Top Coat.
