Kaitlyn Walls, a 27 years old single mother living in Texas was fired from a local daycare before she even started.
“I really needed it really bad,” she said. “I’m a single mom…Trying to get out on my own”.
The single mother posted on facebook: “I start my new job today, but I absolutely hate working at daycares.”
She went on further to say:
“LOL, it’s all good, I just really hate being around a lot of kids.”
She said people on the social media platform immediately insulted her.
The worst attacks was eventually removed, but some remain, including comments that call her a “dumb (expletive)” or saying she has “Bubonic Plague.”
“I actually cried. It really hurt because I wasn’t trying to offend anybody.” Walls said
The post was shared wit her new employer, who called Walls and withdrew the job offer.
“Oh man I made a big mistake,” Walls wrote on Facebook yesterday. “I’m so sad. I feel like a failure here looking at my daughter crying because I’m afraid that I’m not going to be able to find a job because of my own stupidity.”
“I don’t hate children. I have my own…I love her.”
But that Facebook post has now left Walls searching again for a new job. She says she’s learned a valuable lesson.
