The Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, is a breathtaking resort situated in a trendy neighbourhood housing very artsy scene-stealers – perfect for instagramming! We made our way to the resort to have lunch at the Sea Fu Restaurant and once we approached the hotel, we could tell – this was a very special resort. The Sea Fu restaurant is surely one of the best seafood restaurants in Dubai – and throughout our seven-day stint in the “City of Gold” – it was hands down the most memorable and by far the most tasty food we consumed. The Sea Fu signature cocktails were also perfect – my wife had a Lychee concoction called the Lychee Sake Martini – with Russian Standard platinum vodka, sake, lychee purée, and Lemongrass, that was so good – it should be patented.

The Sea Fu restaurant overlooks the stunning Jumeirah beach and I”m convinced that the Four Seasons resort has the best part of the beach – nowhere else seemed to have as gorgeous a view – as the view from the Four Seasons Resort. I am told that the location could not have been acquired as it was in the hands of the ruling family, and was in essence a gift. I am not surprised – as this part of Jumeirah beach was almost sacred in it’s beauty. The Sea Fu restaurant is perched perfectly overlooking the beach – and has some of the most stunning views of the Arabian Gulf.

The name “Sea Fu” is derived from ‘Seafood’ and ‘Sifu’, meaning ‘master’ in Cantonese. The stunning venue is perched on the Resort’s private beach with an open kitchen, live fish tank, sidebar lounges, and a menu gleaming with Asian and Mediterranean inspirations. Under the culinary helm of Four Seasons Executive Chef Gilles Arzur, known for perfecting bold flavors and incorporating pastry designs to accompany signature dishes (Gilles Arzur was also a pastry chef).  Arzur previously worked at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles, where his team enjoyed serving up specialty dishes for President Barack Obama and The Jackson Five, among other VIPs.

We arrived at Sea Fu around midday and were immersed in a delectable culinary rollercoaster of highly innovative – fusion cuisine. We started with appetizers from the menu. The uniquely designed Akami Pizza featuring fresh tuna sashimi, the spicy prawns as well as the extravagant and intricately crafted sushi platter, was perfect.
