In an article published by Fortune, a female executive wrote an apology to the mothers she’s criticized over the years regarding their ethics and professional values.
As the president of PowerToFly, a tech company geared towards connecting female talent with jobs across the globe, it was hard to believe she regularly questioned the occupational commitment of mothers in the workplace.
It took the executive just one time to have a child of her own to realize the error of her ways.
“For mothers in the workplace, it is death by a thousand cuts—and sometimes it’s other women holding the knives. I didn’t realize this—or how horrible I’d been—until five years later, when I gave birth to a daughter of my own.”
