Finding The Time To Read

I love snuggling up to a good book. There are so many amazing reads out there, but sometimes I wonder how I find the time to finish all of them. It’s easy to feel like there’s always so much to do and not enough time to get it done, making you wonder how anybody gets any reading done at all? All it takes is some habit breaking tricks and a few tips for you to be reading book after book in no time.

Pick up a library card- You probably haven’t used a library card since grade school, but taking out a book from the library can help give you an incentive to finish the book it before it’s due, and who doesn’t love a free book every once and a while?

Cut out the social media- Sometimes it feels like social media is changing the way we do everything. Sure, it’s become a great business tool, but it can also take up a lot of our time. It’s time to track your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram habits and kick them to the curb. Stop when you feel yourself reaching for that phone. Put it down, and reach for your Kindle instead.

Read on your commute- I find that airplanes are where I get most of my reading done. If you live in an area where taking public transportation is easy for you, hop on the subway, metro, or bus and pass the time with a good book on your lap.
